Create by Faith: The Movement Behind the Name

- Create by Faith, For Creatives
For the longest time, I thought faith meant hope.
But a few weeks ago during a study in Hebrews 11, everything changed. I kept reading "by faith... by faith... by faith" and suddenly understood: the words God gave me last year, Faith & Create, weren't just a name. They were a movement.
The Faith I Thought I Knew
Here's Webster's definition of faith: "belief and trust in God" or "belief in something without proof."
That sounds like hope, doesn't it?
But Hebrews 11:1 (AMP) says something completely different: "Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality, faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]."
Faith isn't hoping you'll get the house someday, it's having the deed in your hand. It's knowing without a shadow of doubt that it's already in motion.
By Faith They Moved
In Hebrews 11:
By faith Noah built an ark (before the rain came)
By faith Abraham left his home not knowing where he was going
By faith Moses went back to Egypt (even though he told God three times "I can't do this")
They moved before they saw the outcome. They created by faith, not by hope, not by sight, not by proof.
Faith Without Movement Is Dead
James 2:17, 26 (AMP) tells us: "Faith, if it does not have works to back it up, is by itself dead. For just as the human body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works of obedience is also dead."
The promise God has for you might be two miles away. You can pray and hope all you want, but if you're not moving, how can He direct your path?
When you write that outline, take that next step, move even before you fully understand, that's faith.
When You Don't Know What to Do Next
James 1:5-6 (AMP): "If any of you lacks wisdom, he is to ask of our God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. But he must ask for wisdom in faith, without doubting God's willingness to help."
Ask in faith, not hoping the wisdom will come, but knowing it's already on its way. Moses asked God for help out loud, and God helped him. We're but mere mortals, and God wants to help us, but we have to ask.
This Is Why It's Create By Faith
When you create by faith, you're not hoping it works out, you're knowing God has already equipped you. You're not waiting for proof, you're moving with certainty.
